You say you’re attached to this guy, that you hold feelings for him, yet you acknowledge there will never be a future for the two of you. You’ll never make love. You’ll never dine together. You’ll never hold hands while you watch the sun melt into the ocean. Words will never let you feel his touch. His gaze, his lips will never land upon your body and your eyes will shed tears, regretful, wishing they belonged to somebody.
In the meantime, you push everything and everyone else away, no matter how good, no matter how wonderful.
Bad luck isn’t following you around. I’ve shown you that. Few people are as lucky as you and then choose to throw their luck in the well wishing for something they already had.
